Painting from life

The greatest gift you could give yourself for expanding  your painting skills.

Maggie is all about learning from life.  She has been painting for 37 years and teaching for 26 years.  Most of that time was spent studying from life.  She is devoted to capturing the beauty of life through color and expressive brush work.  Well known for her love of teaching, Maggie devotes most of her time to sharing her treasure trove of knowledge about painting mediums, drawing skills and expressive composition.

Maggie painted Gail Noyes (Marblehead, MA) painting on location
at Maggie's Acadia National Park Workshop (Maine) 2007
Collection: Gail Noyes 12 x 19 in Oil on Canvas

Incredibly versitile in mediums and subject matter, Maggie reaches artists on many levels.  She looks for what is unique in each artist she is working with  and  strives to  motivate an artistic self-assurance.  She shows how to grow creatively with confidence and joy helping each artist carve out a personal artistic path.

For artists looking to make a career, Maggie is good at assisting artists visualize their own style of success.

Keep an eye out  for
new workshops....

There's a rumor that Maggie's taking a workshop to Provence, France next summer! She taught at La Romita in Italy and now it time for FRANCE!  How about a side trip to Paris with a personal tour of the Louvre and the Orsay with Maggie?  Study the Impressionists, the Romantics, drink in the ambience of the city that no other matches for an artist.
