"Soul Play"

40 x 60 in - Oil on Canvas

Now and then, I do a portrait just because I love the ambiance of what I'm experiencing.  That's me on the right and my friends, Claire Held and Tere Ferá

ndez (both excellant artists) helping hang a recent exhibition of my work.

This portrait is of Don Cummins, San Francisco, a Jazz musician, who by his own words "can't think of any better way to spend his days than being at Fisherman's Wharf honing his jazz skills".  If you're ever in San Francisco, stop by to hear him.  He is amazing to listen to.  It'll make your day.

Collection: Mr. & Mrs. Evans Coconut Grove, Florida

A breast cancer survivor was not able to sit for any length of time for this portrait, so I devised a unique way to catch the strength and determination I saw in her every day. This method of working was also used on Mandy Patimkin's image

Above Right:

Collection: Mandy Patimkin  New York, NY
Mr. Patimkin said this was a portrait he will be proud to hand down to his son(s).
