In 2007, I had the wonderful pleasure of designing a series of murals for Art Impact and Bellevue Baptist Church and to be a design and color/environment artist for Germantown Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee.

For Bellevue, my purpose was to create a guide for Art Impact's crew of artists and their special talents.
For Germantown, my purpose was to tighten up the lay-out design and incorporate mood and environment through color.

Below are images of the actual Bellevue murals in progress.  I have inserted a picture of the corresponding painting over each mural photograph.
Images of the Germantown proposal paintings are at the bottom of the page.

The following panels are from the story of Abraham.

Below is an example of how each mural worked with the opposing side of the halls.  Notice that one panel is upside down.
That's how I made certain that the panels complimented each other as they flowed down the halls.
I've shown the two panels directly below right side up (scroll down a little further).
Segments of the bible story are woven back and forth across from each other, creating a continuous story that can be
used instructionally and pictorially by the teachers and members of Bellevue. Click here to see the entire 'Moses' mural.

You will note some slight miss-matching between panels in color and scenery points. These occurred during
the photographing of the various panels.  The original panels match almost perfectly.

Jesus and His Disciples - Reception Area design

Abraham in Israel

Below are a couple of the nearly 30 panels created for the Germantown murals.

The church's request was for a park atmosphere with family fun and activities.  The white rectangles are doorways.
